With the introduction of BECOPAD, BEGEROW from Langenlonsheim in Germany started setting new standards in conventional beer filtration. The second consistent step followed last year with the presentation of the GREENOMIC philosophy, which combines sustainability ('green') and economic efficiency ('nomic') in beer filtration.

At Brau Beviale 2011 BEGEROW presented a further development in this kieselguhr-free filtration concept. In addition to its environmental benefits visitors also recognised its significant savings potential. Both national and international guests at the BEGEROW booth in Nuremberg clearly felt that this concept has a bright future.

Cold filtered beers, as they are called, are now part of the standard repertoire of many breweries. The StepFlow system from BEGEROW is an alternative to FP. This technology was therefore presented as the second highlight at the BEGEROW booth. StepFlow achieves improved taste stability and ensures fresher beers.

There is a trend towards regional specialities, which require extremely gentle treatment with regard to stability and filterability. BEGEROW has recognised this requirement and is consistently working on perfecting the process further.
