First drip-free filter sheet revolutionises the filtration process
Following the introduction in the beer market last year, winegrowers, too, can now rely on BECOPAD for their vintage wines. The innovative product from BEGEROW for the first time enables wine filtration largely without drip and product losses, and at different clarification levels ranging from coarse to sterile.
BECOPAD consists of high-purity cellulose, which is optimised through the special bepure process in such a way that can do away with the use of minerals or other filter aids. A special feature: The purity grade achieved in this purely organic method satisfies even the most stringent standards for microbiological safety, and BECOPAD ensures that the value of the wine is maintained. The natural fruit flavours and the colour are not affected – a key factor, particularly for high-quality wines.
Practical application trials in large filtration systems have substantiated performance increases of at least 20 % and a 50 % reduction in flushing volume. In addition, BECOPAD offers economic and environmental benefits when it comes to wine cellar handling and disposal: the depth filter sheets are characterised by high wet bursting strength and are 100 % biodegradable.
BECOPAD is the result of five years of development and was awarded the 2008 Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award.
