ANALYTICA 2008 – BEGEROW Depth filtration – innovative systems from laboratory to production scale

With the new BECO MiniCap and BECOCAP product, the German company BEGEROW is able to offer a complete line of products for a fully comprehensive filtration process, ranging from laboratory scale to production.

The scale-up range includes miniature BECO MiniCap disposable filtration units, 2.5", 10", and 30" BECOCAP depth filter capsules with Luer Lock connectors for venting and discharge, BECODISC® stacked disc cartridges, and the hermetically enclosed BECO INTEGRA® PLATE depth filtration system.

All units can be equipped with special depth filter media from the PR UP series or the PR series.

As a further trade fair highlight, Begerow will provide information for interested visitors about the filter media and systems from the renowned BECO product line, including:

The BECODISC® stacked disc cartridges and the BECO INTEGRA® DISC stacked disc cartridge housing: Together they are highly effective for applications in the biopharmaceutical and chemical industries. The stacked disc cartridges are used mainly for the protection of membrane filters and chromatography columns. In bioseparation production applications, suitable depth filter types are used, among other things, for cell or endotoxin separation and plasma fractionation.

The BECO INTEGRA® PLATE EP filtration system: This hermetically enclosed plate and frame filter was developed according to GMP guidelines and FDA regulations. It has a filter area of around 70 m2 and a maximum unfiltrate volume of 900 liters. The filter features gasket-less product chambers and offers optimum final draining. The filter elements are made of polypropylene or PVDF.

Both filtration systems also feature CIP and SIP as well as cleaning validation.
