With its GREENOMIC philosophy, BEGEROW, one of the leading companies in the filtration and beverage treatment sectors worldwide, responds to current and future demand from the beverage industry for innovation and sustainability (hence 'green' in the product name), while at the same time addressing economic aspects.

BEGEROW first implemented this philosophy with the introduction of the mineral-free BECOPAD filter medium in 2008. Since then BEGEROW has set new standards in conventional beer filtration.

Based on the remarkable filtration characteristics of BECOPAD, BEGEROW recently developed an alternative to kieselguhr filtration that has been tried and tested in small and medium-sized breweries and is becoming increasingly popular.

BECOPAD is highly versatile and is able to meet any customer requirements, from coarse to sterile filtration. Known filtration problems relating to malt quality or type changeover can be counteracted through individual combination of centrifuge technology and BECOPAD (one- or two-stage). The proven technologies of existing facilities (centrifuges, plate and frame filters) can continue to be used. New filter cellar investments also present interesting alternatives in terms of costs/hl. In addition to ecological aspects (biodegradability) the system is characterized by economic benefits (water saving, service life, safe disposal and reduced disposal costs).
